Chase + Gretchen

had the most wonderfully intimate backcountry wedding. They, and all of their best friends, hiked up to to Mt Hayden Backcountry lodge at 11,000 feet. And you might think that because they were in such a remote location, they weren't able to throw an epic party, but that was hardly the case. They had kegs, smoke machines, laser shows, and gourmet food provided by the owner of the lodge, Eric.

I was truly so grateful to be part of their beautiful day. It started off with a first look at an epic vista area.

We hiked around a bit and got a few bridal portraits.

Then we all headed to the wedding ceremony.

Chase and Gretchen shared their vows surrounded by all of their closest family and friends (+ dogs). Pine needles were thrown at them as they had their recession down the aisle, and I loved this unique and environmentally friendly substitute for rice.

After the wedding,

we all ate lunch together and enjoyed the wild backcountry. Drinking games, dancing, dips in mountain creeks, hot tubs and smoke filled bubbles. It could not have been more perfect.
